These tiger-eye beads, while colored in some way, are beautiful especially when the sun hits them. Like other tiger-eye beads, they have chatoyance resembling cats’ eyes. Teresa also is composed of labradorite nuggets, freshwater pearls and sterling silver spacers. She is strung on silk and measures 29 inches (74 mm.) in length. This necklace is one-of-a-kind in that I can no longer source the colored corn-shaped freshwater pearls.

Note: This necklace is designed so that the length of tiger-eye beads alone (approximately 8 inches, or20 mm.) goes behind the neck. That way, the labradorite nuggets will appear evenly on either side. The five tiger-eye beads separating the two side of the necklace is called the “swing.”
